This term we shall be learning about Dinosaurs. The children have already begun creating a display based around the book 'Gigantosaurus' and talked about the themes contained within where a little dinosaur tells fibs and it gets him into trouble. None of his friends believe him in the end and he ends up being eaten!
In Science we shall be learning about Animals and talking about some of the signs of Autumn. We will be going out around the school grounds identifying some of those signs and talking about them.
In RE, we shall be talking about Our Friends and thinking about what it means to be a good friend. We shall be listening to stories and enjoying assemblies led by Rev. Walters and Rev. Frances.
Phonics will continue, and we shall be having a special focus on handwriting in Literacy. We shall begin identifying verbs looking at 'ed' and 'ing' endings where the spelling of the word does not change.
Maths work will be based around Place Value and Number.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
