Welcome to Term 5 and 6. This term the children will be following the topic, Transport and Journeys.
Please see the planning overview for this term below which goes into more detail some of the things that the children will be covering. We shall be thinking about Identifying Materials for Science and in particular, we shall be testing the properties of different liquids. Children will investigate which materials are good to wrap and protect a hollow chocolate object being sent through the post. We shall begin to think about significant people in history, and learning about The Wright brothers and George Stephenson. The children will have the opportunity to design their very own vehicle. In RE, the children will be thinking about Special times and Special Books. We are hoping to get out and about in our local community, popping up to the post office when we have identified other people to write to! We shall also be looking at our local environment and comparing it to another. As part of our PSHE, we shall be learning about recycling and litter and the effects it may have on our environment. Trips are planned but will be confirmed as always with a letter.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
