Understanding assignments and how to attach those completed

Thank you for giving consent for your child to join us on Microsoft Teams, it is a new and exciting way to be able to educate your child during these unprecedented times. Whilst we know this will take some getting used to, children, parent and teachers alike, we are hoping this will support your child's learning journey. 

Below I have outlines how you are able to view the assignments set and how you can also hand these back in for the Class Teachers viewing. 

Once more, this is a new way of working and we completely understand this will take some practice and getting used to for all so please do not feel worried or alone. We are always here to help. 

Once you have logged in, you will see your Microsoft Teams page. You will see the tool bar (below) on the left hand side of the page. 

The red dot appears to show there has been a recent activity that involves your child. In this instance, it is an assignment - class work. 

Some tasks set may be on Microsoft Word, in this case children are able to complete the work set on this and then save onto your computer and send in to their Class Teacher to give feedback.

If the task cannot be complete on Microsoft Word, or you are using an iPad, or tablet, they can complete their tasks as normal, using a pencil and paper, take a photograph and attach this as a file to send to their Teacher.

Welcome to our Remote Learning Zone. 

This is where we will set activities for you to complete at home, together with providing the necessary support and guidance you may require.

Within this zone you will see; 

A Video Centre where you will find videos of activities and guidance on how to approach tasks.

A Class Blog which is where we will communicate with you. You can access your class blog and post questions or comments you have about the activities you are completing.

In order to access the blog and start to communicate with your teacher you will require your blogging username and password which your teacher will provide.
