It has been great to see all of the children's smiling faces back with us this week! All of the adults are super impressed with how well they have adjusted to the 'new normal'. We hope each and everyone of you l kept safe during the period we have been away for, and managed to fit in some relaxation during the summer break.
The children have eagerly been catching up with their friends and have picked up as though they were never separated. To start the year, we began by working on our team working skills, and what fantastic skills we have!
Maple Class were set the challenge of building their own tower, using cups. However, what they didn't know was they weren't allowed to use their hands! By working together they were able to pull the cups into the right position to create their own tower.
Fabulous work guys!
Today, we have been discussing all of our hopes and dreams for the future. This linked well to the children's feelings towards the current situation and how they were hopeful we would all soon be back to 'normality'.
From this, they went on to design and create some beautiful dream catchers!
Another day, another team building challenge! This time using balloons! The children had some roof raising fun building their balloon towers. Although we lost a few balloons along the way, the team-working skills they displayed were fantastic.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
