This term, we shall be settling back into school and making new friends with our very youngest children.
Our main topics will be Animals in Science and we shall be learning about Dinosaurs in History. We look forward to getting out and about in our grounds exploring nature all around us and the changes that we will see now that it is Autumn.
Children have been saving up their Dojo points in order to swap them for the goodies at the Dojo shop! Children can choose to spend some of their hard earned points or save. If children decide to save, then Mrs Hazlehurst awards 25 bonus 'Dojo interest' points to help us strive for the next points bracket and goal. Keep up the hard work Willow Class! You are doing so very well!
Seasons come and seasons go but do you know where British apples and pears grow? The team at Kids Country visited school to deliver a fabulous learning experience that links brilliantly to our Farm 2 Fork curriculum. We learned all about British apples; met a local farmer who helped us plant an apple tree and enjoyed practical sessions like making apple bird feeders. What a great afternoon!
Chris from Zoolab visited us in Willow Class to help support us with our Animals topic. He brought a variety of different animals with him including a tarantula! We were able to hold some of the animals or stroke them if we wanted to and learned lots of facts about where they lived and what they liked to eat.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
