All Year 1 children have been sent a photograph on their child's Tapestry account already showing the Common Exception Words that they have been learning so far this year. Many of you have already made good progress with learning them, and have added comments and photos of your child's fabulous efforts. Thank you.
Please continue to work on these at home. All Pirate Spelling books will continue to be sent home daily that these can be practiced in. However how you choose to help your child with these words is up to you. If you want to play a game with them, test them in the car, take a few at a time and focus on them or have other ideas, please do so.
Below I have put a copy of what these words are, plus a sheet that can be used for learning the spellings for the days of the week which is also a Year 1 objective. This can be printed as many times as needed or Pirate books can be used. Please encourage children to write neatly and ensure that they use the correct letter formation.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
