Times tables are a cornerstone of learning in Maple Class. If your child is in Year 4 they will have the Year 4 Multiplication Check in the Summer Term. This check takes place online and consists of 25 questions ranging from 1x1 to 12x12 and your child is only give in 6 seconds to answer each question. This is a national check for all children to show their learning of their tables but being fluent in times tables knowledge will support your child beyond the check.
Both in school and at home we encourage the children to practise their times tables. This is through paper challenges in school and through playing games on Times Tables Rockstars. Logins for Times Tables Rockstars can be found at the front of the Home School Record Book.
