What another beautiful weekend! I hope that all of you are safe and well and trying to enjoy some of this glorious sunshine! I have had a few messages now to say that some children are finding it tricky to cope with the ongoing situation - being away from their friends, school and usual routines has had an effect on our youngest children and I just wanted to say that you are all doing an amazing job! Trying to balance work, home life, family commitments and taking care of children is your priority at the moment. Make sure that you include opportunities to talk this week - I am sure most of you are! Lots of love, chat and reassurance will be key to getting through the next period until we can all be together again at school. We all miss you dearly!
This week we are going Pirate crazy! There is a Powerpoint story for you to share if you want to, some English ideas and then Maths. The Math link will take you to the White Rose website where there is the week's activities for you. Alternatively, (or in addition!) you can use the additional booklets/resources listed below this link. Many of you have told me that children are enjoying the booklets. This one has counting in tens in it - something to have a go at! Then there is the Chilli Challenge and resources. At the bottom, I have put some extra Pirate themed bits for you including some great little science experiments! As always, pick and choose. Go with your child's interests! If they are not in the mood for Pirates, use some of the resources from previous weeks, go outside and find opportunities there!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
