Place Value Party!

This week, we have been busy learning about some large numbers! So, we got active and all had our own value to play in the party. Needless to say, the children all highlighted how smart they are by taking this learning back to the classroom. 

Shading Skills

In preparation for our Harvest art, we have been perfecting the skill of creating different shades with watercolours. The children listened super carefully and were able to display their learning with these wonderful patch tests.

Farm to Fork Friday

It's that time of year where the Farmers are busy harvesting crops, as are we! We have used our Tomatoes to compete in the school 'Chutney Challenge' and I must say the children were delighted to be back in the Curriculum Kitchen!

Whilst cooking, our fabulous maths came to hand as we had to work out fractions of quantities as well as accurately measuring ingredients. We even went a step further and wrote our own set of instructions for future reference. 

Ambitious Adjectives

Maple Class have been busy upscaling their work by using a thesaurus. The children loved having popcorn to come up with adjectives and then perfected the skill of using a thesaurus to make their writing more exciting.
