Dear Parents/Carers of children in receipt of benefit related free school meals
We would just like to clarify the school position in terms of your FSM Food Box.
During this lockdown and following GOV.UK and LCC guidance, we will be continuing to support you by providing a weekly Food Box from Willoughby Foods. As a school we feel that it is very important to support small, local businesses during this difficult time, and we are very pleased with the high quality of locally grown and sourced produce that this company provide. We will consider using vouchers during the school holidays if this is deemed necessary by GOV.UK, but during term time, we will continue with our current food supplier. Food Boxes need to be collected on a Monday between 11.30-1.00pm, for the duration of the school closure, unless an alternative time is agreed by the school.
Now that we have received more funding to support FSM children, we will be upgrading the Food Box as of Monday 18th January, and it will contain a meat product, unless you have ordered a 'Meat-Free' Box. We hope that you will support Willoughby Foods by continuing to receive this box. However, if for any reason you would prefer to receive a daily packed lunch option instead, as in Terms 1 & 2, then please contact the school on enquiries@clough-risegate.co.uk where this can be arranged.
During this difficult time, if you require further support for the whole of your family, then Rev Walters has assured us that the Gosberton Food Bank is still operational and you simply need to contact: 01775 840694 or email info@gosberton.org to access this and to find out more details. Thank you.
Kind regards,
Mrs Rooney.
Dear Parents/Carers
After only contacting you yesterday to inform you that the Government had stated that Primary Schools in our area were safe for children to attend, after tonight's announcement at 8pm, by Boris Johnson, it is with regret that I now inform you that the Government have made the decision to close all schools for the majority of children as of tomorrow Tuesday 5th January, until further notice.
Rather like the first set of school closures, our school will remain open only for a small number of children whose parents are classed as key workers. If you feel that your child falls into this category because both parents are key workers and there is no-one in your care bubble that can supervise their remote learning, and you are therefore unable to keep your child at home, then please email me on enquiries@clough-risegate.co.uk at your earliest convenience. Every child, whether in school or not, will move to remote learning as of tomorrow from 1pm. Teachers need the morning to collect resources and ensure questions/queries are answered please. Information about our Remote Learning Policy & Plan can be found on our website, along with help sections if needed. Lessons will be delivered remotely on Microsoft TEAMs and attendance registers will be taken during both morning and afternoon sessions. It is imperative that your child takes part in this online learning to avoid any detrimental impacts to their education, through this ongoing unprecedented situation that we all find ourselves in.
If you have any questions at all or would like more information about your child's learning, then please get in touch using the enquiries email, where you will be directed towards the best placed staff member to answer your concerns.
I do apologise for the short notice of this information. It is very unfortunate and incredibly frustrating that schools are given no prior notice of such changes that inevitably impact so greatly on the education of all of our children.
I will be in touch again during the coming days to ensure you are kept fully informed. We must all now do all we can to continue to protect ourselves, our families and our communities. Thank you for your continued support.
Kindest regards
Mrs Rooney

Lincolnshire's current local Covid alert level is Very High – Tier 4
Although the infection rate remains relatively low among school-aged children compared to adults, it's important we all continue to do what we can to stop the virus spreading.
Please ensure your child stays at home and gets tested if they have the following symptoms, no matter how mild:
They should also self-isolate if a member of your household has symptoms.
Please encourage your child to:

Dear Parents/Carers
I've waited to contact you all, in case of any last minute changes, but I'm pleased to say that although we are now in Tier 4 in South Holland, school will resume tomorrow for all ages. The Government have decided that the risk to primary aged children is minimal and they advise that it is safe to send your child to school. As headteacher, let me assure you that our risk assessment in school remains robust and all necessary precautions will continue to be made to keep all children and staff as safe as possible.
Staggered entry and exit times remain the same and can I please insist that you adhere to timings and maintain social distance when on school site and in the parking area. It is essential that you drop off and leave the parking area quickly and that you keep the required distance away from others. Staff should not be approached unless you have a face covering and if you have an urgent message for the teacher or require further information, then please email enquiries@clough-risegate.co.uk. You can also ring the school, but please be aware that you may not get an immediate response but we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as we are able.
I'm hopeful that we will have a productive and enjoyable term, with few, if any, disruptions to your child's education and learning.
Thank you for your continued understanding and for working with us to ensure the best outcomes for all of our children.
Kind regards
Mrs Rooney
