Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Fantastic News!
We have raised a whopping £3567 from our sponsored walk and litter pick! This is absolutely amazing and it is certainly the most money our small village school has ever raised on one event. There's still money coming in but we wanted to update you and to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for working so hard to help support us and to achieve such an amazing amount of fundraising money. We are blown away!
The outdoor gym equipment and the story telling circle installations are booked for over the summer - the children can start enjoying all this wonderful new equipment as soon as is possible. We are so thrilled with everyone's efforts and so very grateful for all of your support. Thank you.

We are absolutely blown away with the children's fantastic fundraising efforts! As of today, and with a few forms still to come in, we have raised a staggering £2611
WOW!
We are so incredibly grateful for everyone's efforts and for this invaluable support and much needed boost for our lovely small school. It's been such a difficult year for everyone and this really is the most fabulous pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
We want to start using this money as soon as possible, so that the children who have worked so hard to raise it, get the most from their rewards. This money, along with money we had left in the old PTA Account, will go towards the following:
Outdoor Reading Area - Children will enjoy sitting and listening to stories in this fabulous new space. Outdoor Gym Equipment - ensuring we keep achieving our Gold School Games status and that fitness and exercise remain a priority. 'Hobbitville' - a longer term project that will ensure imaginative and magical playtimes for all children. We will look to gain funding support from businesses and hopefully grants from larger organisations, to develop a little area on the field for hobbit homes and outdoor play. We hope to incorporate musical instruments and some much needed structures that will provide shade for the children on hot days. Watch this space!
This is such a wonderful achievement and we are so very grateful to you all. Our outdoor provision is already strong but these new spaces really will take our outdoor space to the next level and benefit all children. THANK YOU
Together Everyone Achieves More!
Children in school had a fabulous time yesterday on their sponsored walk and litter pick. Everyone really enjoyed taking part and it was great to see the children so enthusiastic and keen to get lots of steps done and to pick up litter in our local area too. Different bubbles visited different parts of the local village and now Chopdike Drove, Clough Road and Siltside are litter free! We had many great individual totals on the pedometers too and Willow Class in particular, tripled what they expected to achieve! The average scores were:
Willow Class 2978 steps
Chestnut Class 3018 steps
Maple Class 3400 steps
Oak Class 4291 steps
We've had some fabulous fundraising efforts too and on a week on Friday, in Celebration Assembly, prizes will be given for:
The child with most money raised
The class with most steps achieved
The child who collected the most litter
A massive thank you to everyone who sponsored and/or took part. We are incredibly appreciative of all your support and efforts.
If there are any more sponsor forms to send in, please do so, on or before the deadline of Friday 11th June.
Many thanks
