Children in school had a fabulous time yesterday on their sponsored walk and litter pick. Everyone really enjoyed taking part and it was great to see the children so enthusiastic and keen to get lots of steps done and to pick up litter in our local area too. Different bubbles visited different parts of the local village and now Chopdike Drove, Clough Road and Siltside are litter free! We had many great individual totals on the pedometers too and Willow Class in particular, tripled what they expected to achieve! The average scores were:
Willow Class 2978 steps
Chestnut Class 3018 steps
Maple Class 3400 steps
Oak Class 4291 steps
We've had some fabulous fundraising efforts too and on a week on Friday, in Celebration Assembly, prizes will be given for:
The child with most money raised
The class with most steps achieved
The child who collected the most litter
A massive thank you to everyone who sponsored and/or took part. We are incredibly appreciative of all your support and efforts.
If there are any more sponsor forms to send in, please do so, on or before the deadline of Friday 11th June.
Many thanks
