Dear Parents/Carers of children in receipt of benefit related free school meals
We would just like to clarify the school position in terms of your FSM Food Box.
During this lockdown and following GOV.UK and LCC guidance, we will be continuing to support you by providing a weekly Food Box from Willoughby Foods. As a school we feel that it is very important to support small, local businesses during this difficult time, and we are very pleased with the high quality of locally grown and sourced produce that this company provide. We will consider using vouchers during the school holidays if this is deemed necessary by GOV.UK, but during term time, we will continue with our current food supplier. Food Boxes need to be collected on a Monday between 11.30-1.00pm, for the duration of the school closure, unless an alternative time is agreed by the school.
Now that we have received more funding to support FSM children, we will be upgrading the Food Box as of Monday 18th January, and it will contain a meat product, unless you have ordered a 'Meat-Free' Box. We hope that you will support Willoughby Foods by continuing to receive this box. However, if for any reason you would prefer to receive a daily packed lunch option instead, as in Terms 1 & 2, then please contact the school on firstname.lastname@example.org where this can be arranged.
During this difficult time, if you require further support for the whole of your family, then Rev Walters has assured us that the Gosberton Food Bank is still operational and you simply need to contact: 01775 840694 or email email@example.com to access this and to find out more details. Thank you.
